Pirate101 Test Realm is Online!

It’s your time, pirates! KingsIsle announced earlier this week that the Pirate101 test realm is back online! See below to see what the new update contains.

Party Barge

Skull Island is going to be a republic, and that means work needs to be done! After you complete Avery’s introductory quests, the diplomats on the new “Party Barge” will have a level-appropriate quest for you to complete every 24 hours. These quests are repeatable. Once you complete them all, a new vendor will appear on the barge!

Practice Ship PvP

Pirates level 3 or higher should see Mickey Dugan to receive the new quest “Broadside!” This new quest will introduce you to ship PvP. In ship PvP, you can engage in broadside combat against other players! Although this new system is restricted to “practice” matches for now, who knows … maybe ranked matches are in the plans for a future update.

Team-Up Ledger

Pirate101 now has the equivalent of Wizard101’s Team-Up Kiosk. At the Team-Up ledger, pirates can see a list of other players who are in need of aid. As long as you’re the appropriate level for the requested dungeon, you can jump in and help them out!

Auto-Companions

If you don’t give your companions/henchmen a command, they’ll now fight as they see fit. Call it companion intelligence if you will. :)

Emojis

Following in Wizard101’s footsteps, Pirate101 has added emojis into in-game chat. The emoji options are limited to those currently available on the message boards, but they could always be expanded upon in the future.

If you want to help test Pirate101’s upcoming update, you can download the test realm here. Also be sure to check out the full update notes. Have fun pirates!
