Welcome everyone to my … 50th post! It seems like just yesterday I was making my first. Now, what 50th blog post would be more appropriate than listing 50 things that I love about the spiral? To keep things fair, I’ll be listing 25 things for Wizard101 and 25 things for Pirate101. Let’s get to it!
Wizard101
- Defeating Malistaire for the first time.
- All of the spell quests.
- Becoming an owl in Ghost Avalon.
- Getting a pet name in Ghost Avalon.
- Receiving the companion stat boosts in Khrysalis and Polaris.
- Putting my dance skills to the test in the Ballerina Bear storyline.
- Anytime I successfully avoid mobs in Marleybone.
- Battling my way through the Great Beast.
- The doodles throughout the game (Jeff Toney rocks!)
- Seeing the various Make-a-Wish NPCs and bosses.
- When a pet doesn’t fail.
- When an item I’ve been farming for finally drops.
- Mellori (her character and voice actor) and how she now attends Ravenwood.
- Ravenwood graduation!
- Cyrus Drake (even if he might not feel the same way about me).
- Teaming up with friends to conquer the toughest of tasks.
- Putting myself in someone else’s shoes in the Chamber of the Mind.
- Laughing at all the fish puns.
- A new EMP harvest.
- Double pet XP.
- Seeing Cyrus Drake with an afro and a good version of Malistaire during the 5 B.O.X.E.S. event.
- Completing the Halloween quests and towers every year.
- Evil veggies!
- Encountering Boochbeard and Gandry during the 5 B.O.X.E.S. event.
- The community’s willingness to help.
Pirate101

- The stellar graphics.
- The exciting in-depth tutorial.
- The puppet shows!
- Saving Ratbeard from the troublesome water moles.
- Finally discovering Gunn’s treasure.
- Interacting with all of our companions.
- Bonnie Anne’s sassiness.
- The ability to play through all the classes.
- All of the cross references to Wizard101.
- Exploring the skyways in my very own pirate ship.
- The intriguing storyline.
- Helping the Frogfather do a favor for a favor.
- Hearing our parents’ spirits for the very first time.
- Traveling through Avernus.
- The various disguises and outfits we get to put on (silly outfit in Puerto Mico, monkey disguise in Monquista, Valencia disguise etc..)
- Companion promotion time.
- NXP parties.
- The vibrant colors of the stormgates.
- Marco Pollo’s parallel to Marco Polo.
- The eeriness of Valencia and the Armada.
- Not being a classic “hero,” but instead doing what we need to do to achieve our goals.
- Donkey Hotay’s final wish of one million bananas.
- Visiting the dinosaurs of Azteca in the extended Skull Island.
- Conquering the Floating Dutchman.
- The community’s determination.
