I’ve mentioned it briefly before, but I’ll be streaming with Alex Deathtamer this weekend in support of Extra Life. Extra Life is a gaming fundraising event that aims to help heal kids through the support of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Alex and I think this is a great cause, so we’re doing everything in our power to encourage donations. Let’s help the kids!

We plan to stream for at least 5 hours, switching between Wizard101 and Pirate101.

Incentives

To start things off, I’ve personally donated $105 towards our goal. But, I think we can do better. In order to help out the kids as much as we can, Alex and I will be offering donation incentives. We think you’ll like them! ;)

• Matching KI’s Prizes: To help entice the community, KingsIsle has some official incentives of their own. However, at the end of the event, you only receive the prize of the highest tier you achieve (if this year follows the pattern of years past). Since I already put forth $105, the bundle is guaranteed … but I’m also throwing in an Astral Unicorn and 10,000 crowns (supplied by myself).
  • Astral Unicorn: A donation of any amount will put you in a raffle to receive this prize.
  • 10,000 Crowns: A donation of $5 or more will put you in a raffle to win this prize.
  • New Bundle: A donation of $10 or more will put you in a raffle to receive this prize.
• Which Pirate101 Class Should Alex Play? This is the first time Alex has ever played Pirate101, so he needs a little help deciding which class to play.
  • Whenever you donate, you can tell us to put that amount towards a certain Pirate101 class. The Pirate101 class that has the most money before we start streaming Pirate101 will be the class he plays. For example, if you donate $1, you can put a note saying “Towards Witchdoctor please.”
• Milestones: If we reach certain donation goals, I’ll be raffling off different prizes.
  • If we reach $150, I’ll raffle off 5,000 crowns to one random donator.
  • If we reach $200, I’ll raffle off a Shinobi Bundle to one random donator.
• The More, the Merrier. Ever wanted to get your hands on a rare Ninja Pig Companion for Pirate101?
  • For this raffle, each dollar you donate will give you that number of entries. For example, if you donate $10, that would be 10 entries into the Ninja Pig raffle vs. a $2 donation would only be 2 entries, etc…
• ***Alex Will MATCH all donations up to a total of $105 (which would match me … so a triple match?!)*** In other words, anything you guys donate will automatically be doubled! Awesome, right?!

Important Notes

• In order for your donations to count, they must be towards MY page. That way I can keep track of all the donations.
• If you decide to donate, and if it’s not apparent by your Extra Life name, please add a twitter username, twitch username, or some other way for me to contact you in the event that you win a raffle.
• All prizes will be sent after the stream has ended. Please be patient with me!

Other Cool Stuff

For this event, I made special game-oriented overlays that don’t block any pertinent game information. In addition, I also added a widget that will make all donators and their donation amounts appear on the stream. Lastly, our Extra Life goal will always be visible in the top right corner of the stream so everyone can keep track of our progress!
