Get Spooky!

Halloween returned to Wizard101 earlier this week. That means that your favorite quests, packs, gear, and fish are back for you to enjoy!

Not sure how to get into the spooky mood without spending a lot of cash? Check out these 5 ideas.

1. Gear: Dye Your Clothes

dye

If you don’t want to take any risks on pack gear or spend crowns at Spooky Bob, you can always dye your regular gear Halloween colors! Just head over to the dye shop, pick what colors you would like to dye to, and then voila! A quick and easy holiday change for a low cost of gold.

2. Mount: Buy for Gold in the Crown Shop

Don’t forget that some items in the Crown Shop can be bought for gold! Halloweeny mounts like the Black Stallion (70,000 Gold), Horned Sweeper (70,000 Gold), and Enchanted Broom (50,000 Gold) are some of them!

3. Pet: Something Rotten in Nightside

If you want a creepy companion to go trick-or-treating with you later in the month, complete the quest “Something Rotten in Nightside.” Level 13 wizards and higher will be able to obtain the quest from Dworgyn who will send you to investigate some …. peculiar plant happenings in the Mysterious Cave. After completing the dungeon, you’ll automatically receive the Frankenbunny pet!

4. Fish: Wizard City Waters

VampireSquid

It’s the time of year when the mischievous Halloween fish return to the waters of Wizard City. You can catch the Black Catfish in The Commons, the Frankenfish in Unicorn Way, and the Vampire Squid in Cyclops Lane. Once you reel them in, you can set up tanks (which can be crafted with a recipe from Frode Silverscale) within your haunted house to scare your guests!

5. Everything: Farm Lord Nightshade

During the holidays, Lord Nightshade is a one-stop shop. For starters, he drops gear pieces such as the Pumpkin Mask, Mummy Wraps, and Pumpkin Staff. In addition, he also can drop holiday pets like the Black Cat and Nightmare, terrifying housing items like a Spooky Bob painting, and mounts such as the Bat Wings, Black Stallion, and various brooms.
