Hey guys! Sorry for not having any posts last week, I was super swamped with college work! Luckily, I’m back on track and look forward to many more posts over the summer! Today I’m revisiting a certain question Kat Wenske posed to me on last month’s KI Live – “What story or character from the spiral would you want to learn more about?”

Kat stumped me with this question while I was on the air, but now that I’ve had some time to think about it … I’d like to give you guys a well developed answer.

For the longest time, my answer to this question would have been Barkingham Palace. However, the four dungeons update in 2014 solved that mystery! I mentioned Azteca during KI Live, but I’m really not sure if that’s possible with Azteca getting destroyed and all (those poor dinosaurs). So, I entered deep thought and came up with 2 characters that I truly think we should learn more about.

1. Two Headed Dragon

The 2 headed dragon in Aquila has been guarding a door since the area’s release. To this day, the door still doesn’t open. Where does that door lead? Who is the dragon guarding it? These are questions that I’d love to know the answers to! Since Aquila is based on Greek mythology, I did some research to find out if a multiple headed dragon was mentioned anywhere. Sure enough, there was!

In Greek mythology, The Garden of Hesperides belongs to a goddess named Hera, and it contains a grove of apple trees that produce golden apples. These golden apples are very powerful and were believed to grant immortality. Distrusting the Hesperides with such power, Hera placed a hundred headed dragon named Ladon in the garden. Ladon never slept, and acted as an extra safeguard for the golden apples.

Could the 2 headed dragon in Aquila be Wizard101’s Ladon? It’s possible. Both reside in the Garden of Hesperides … and take a look at that picture on the door (above). It looks like an apple tree – with golden apples?! Perhaps we’ll get a high level dungeon there someday? I personally would love to further explore this theory and see what’s behind that door!

2. Sir Reginald Baxby

Rumor has it that this Aussie zebra had a fairly significant role in Wizard101 beta. However, not many wizards completed his quests and they were taken out of the game. This was confirmed by Professor Greyrose on the Wizard101 Message Boards. Since that time, it’s said that Baxby keeps dangerous creatures out of the worlds he protects. Interesting, but I’d like to know more. Why did Baxby decide to leave Zafaria? Why is he so passionate about keeping other worlds safe? All we currently know about him is that he helped set up a Wizard City exchange program with Zafaria, and his cousin hasn’t seen him in a long time. Did he leave Zafaria to set up that exchange program? Or did he do that afterwards? SO MANY QUESTIONS! I’d love for Baxby to be involved in more quests so we can learn more about him.
