Evil has a tendency to disrupt every corner of the spiral. This means that you’ll be traveling to many worlds, and not all of them are as close as they seem. As a result, it’s always a good idea to search for shortcuts to help you reach your destinations faster. Here are 5 ways to get around the spiral faster!
1. Mounts (Especially the +50% speed ones)
It goes without saying that mounts (+40% speed) make a huge difference, especially starting in Mooshu. I remember I started Mooshu without a mount and wow, those lush lands are far and wide! If you want an extra speedy option, you can try getting your hands on a +50% speed mount (Road Warrior’s Chopper and Midnight Rider). The Road Warrior’s Chopper is available as a reward from the Road Warrior’s Hoard Pack, and the Midnight Chopper comes included in the Witch Hunter’s Bundle.
2. Mark and Recall
Know you’re going to need to return to a specific area very soon? Place a mark at the correct location before you leave. That way when you’re done battling, collecting, or talking to other creatures, you can teleport directly to the right spot with just one click.
3. Teleporters
Be on the lookout for these! They will look different depending on the world that you’re currently in, but they will always be marked and have a symbol. On my first wizard, I completely overlooked the world teleporters and unfortunately tripled my traveling time. But, the best part is that teleporters are already pre-lit for your convenience. Before that was the case, you first had to travel to every teleporter and manually activate them before you could use them. Take advantage now that this option is even easier.
4. Teleport Tapestries
I personally think these are very underrated. There are TONS of teleport tapestries that will bring you directly to very specific locations. Check out Frostcaller’s guide to see just how many options there are. If it’s a popular area, chances are that there’s a teleport tapestry for it! Although some teleport tapestries used to be given out by official fansites, most of them are already used or expired. The most reliable way of obtaining a teleport tapestry is to search for the one you want on the Wizard101 Wiki, see who sells the recipe, and craft it. If you end up collecting a lot of them, don’t forget to hang them up all in one place to show them off.
5. Yourself and Your Friends
If you play with two accounts, only one wizard will need to do the running. Once that’s done, you can just port your other character over for fast questing or farming. The people on your friends list could also potentially be used as “port buses,” but just make sure they are okay with it first. Nobody likes unexpected visitors.
