Tips and Tricks for Wizard101

Playing a game requires a lot of exploration. Not everything jumps out at you and tells you what to do. Luckily, with a little trial and error and maybe assistance from some friends, you’ll learn veteran tips and tricks in no time! Here are 5 things I wish I knew when I first started playing Wizard101.

5. The Bazaar

Elik-Silverfist[1]

Starting out, I was aware there was something called a bazaar, but I was never entirely sure what to use it for. In fact, up until level 60, all of my gear came from bosses and mobs as drops. If I had known what I know now, I would have made use of the bazaar and bought new up to date gear every 10 levels or so. Don’t be me who used level 30 gear at level 50. Seek out appropriate level gear to make your questing endeavors less painful!

4. Spacebar For Dialogue

Boy-with-Wings[1]

For the longest time, I thought clicking the “next” button was the only way to complete dialogue. I only discovered the speedy magical spacebar option after someone mentioned it to me (and finally all that jumping in dungeons made sense!). Just keep in mind that the Wizard101 storyline is an amazing one, and I definitely wouldn’t spacebar through your first wizard. Instead, take your time and enjoy the rich story! I only use the spacebar when farming dungeons I’ve done before or when questing an additional wizard.

3. Right Click TCs to Trash Them

Boy-Casting[1]

TCs can be lifesavers in battle, but some are more useful than others. Whenever I had the chance, I traveled to the bazaar and attempted to sell the cards I didn’t need for gold. However, I was at a loss as to what to do with the “no auction” TCs. After chatting with some friends about the issue, they shared the fun fact that I could trash no auction TCs by right clicking them on the deck page. No more clogged up TC decks!

2. Teleporters Are An Awesome Time Saver

Cave-of-Solitude[1]

Teleporters, especially in Mooshu, can help you reach destinations within seconds! Back when I quested my myth wizard, teleporters had to first be manually activated before being used. Nowadays, all teleporters are pre-lit right from the start … so take advantage!

1. Right Click Icons to Make Them Vanish

Bartleby[1]

This one I actually just recently learned about a few weeks ago (thanks Alex Deathtamer!). Are item icons or NPC icons taking up too much space on your screen? Right click them to make them disappear!
