Ah, friendship and love are in the air! This coming Tuesday marks Valentine’s Day – the day that’s all about love and happiness and different shades of red. Now, planning the perfect day for your significant other might be frightening … but have no fear! I’m here to help! Below is a list of a few Valentine’s Day DOs and DON’Ts for my fellow wizards. Follow these simple rules guidelines, and everything (should) go fine!
DOs:
- DO dress nicely. It doesn’t have to be completely fancy, but make sure there’s no firecat drool on your shirt or anything.
- DO plan activities that you both enjoy. Skydiving off the Floating Mountains would NOT be a good choice if you’re both afraid of heights.
- DO leave your pets inside your castle. This is supposed to be a special day between just the two of you. Be sure to prevent any interruptions.
- DO something sentimental. Write a little note explaining how much fun you had when you took down Malistaire together. Maybe even write 3 notes for the 3 different times? I think he’s finally gone now though (phew).
- DO be yourself. After all, that’s the best person there is.
DON’Ts:
- DON’T think about impending doom. A wizard’s life is hectic, but don’t worry about Old Cob … at least not right now. You’ll get the better of him one day.
- DON’T travel to any dangerous areas. The last thing you need is your significant other getting eaten by a huge spider, or snake, or dragon, or- actually, is there ANY safe place in the spiral? Not sure this don’t can be prevented.
- DON’T use a transformation. You’re fine the way you are!
- DON’T PvP. I know this may sound like a good idea, but it’s extremely risky! PvP brings out people’s competitive side. Ignore this
ruleguideline at your own risk! - DON’T think you need to spend a ton of gold on someone to make them happy. Memories are priceless.
For those wizards out there who aren’t doing anything for Valentine’s Day … don’t be sad. You get to keep all the chocolate crickets for yourself (though your pet may steal some). If you’re still working up the courage to capture your crush’s attention, I wrote up a few cheesy pickup lines for last year’s Friendship Festival. Best of luck, and be sure to visit Valentina HeartSong in the Shopping District while you still can!
