Hello one and all, and welcome to my new site, The Untold Spiral!
I’ve been working on this site for about a month now, and I’m so excited that the day has finally come for you all to see it! First things first though, any good welcome has an introduction.
So, who are you?
My name is Vanessa Mythdust, and I have a level 100 Myth wizard in Wizard101. I started playing Wizard101 in January 2013 (which actually isn’t that long ago compared to you veterans!) and absolutely loved it. In my two years of playing, I feel extremely grateful for the opportunities and experiences that have been offered to me. Currently, I am a Derby Tournament Master on Wizard101 Central, a Mercenary at Mercenaries101, and the owner of a Halfang farming group on Wizard101 Central. However, for a little over a year I also blogged at Adventures of The Spiral, the site that I feel was the root to this one. Before I started blogging at AoS, I didn’t realize how much I loved writing about this game. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank Sheldon Cooper, Sophia Lifecaster, Jason Goldenshield, Chrissy the Blesser, and Noble Nathan for believing in me and helping me discover a true passion. What kinds of things should I expect here?
Fun things, that’s what! If you’re familiar with the posts I did for AoS such as the 25 Things a Wizard Would Never Say Aloud, Diary of a Lost Soul, and Jingle All the Way, you have a good idea of my writing style. I like to write posts that are unique, posts that you probably won’t find on another site, and most importantly-things that I as a reader would be interested in reading. In fact, when I blog, I ask myself, “What would I be interested in reading about? How can I look at the game from a fresh new perspective? How can I tell a story? What would this character be thinking right now? Is there a way for me to show it?” The fun part about writing things such as jingles or character diaries is that it allows my readers to see a different side of the game, the “untold” side of the game. With that said, there are no limits here! Expect not only fun posts, but guides, informational posts, and even contests as well!
A Little Icebreaker
I don’t want my readers to feel far away from me. I want you all to get to know me as a person, not just as some player behind a computer screen. So, here are a few things about me you maybe didn’t know before!
- I’m originally from New Jersey, but I moved to the big state of Texas to follow my dreams.
- I’m currently a college student attending the University of Texas at San Antonio.
- My major is communications.
- I played tackle football for 4 years, 5th-8th grade.
- I played Rugby my freshmen year of High School.
- I have a black belt in Tae-Kwon-Do (I’m a bit rusty though….)
- I LOVE Onion Dip (It’s so awesome that I capitalized it).
- Moose are amazing.
- Pizza is an acceptable choice for any meal.
- I rarely wear dresses, T-shirts all the way.
- I love my converse sneakers.
What’s Next?
To kick off my blog launch, I’ll be holding a HUGE giveaway. After all, this blog is not just about me. This blog is about the entire community, and I want to get everyone involved and excited! What will I be giving away? How does 2 Epic Bundles, 2 60,000 crowns codes, and MORE sound? Keep watching the site for an announcement on how to enter later this week!
