Those of you who know me well know that I care a lot about what’s going on in the world and helping those who need it. That’s why I was extremely delighted to see KingsIsle bring back in-game charity mounts. Although both mounts are ones we’ve seen before, I think it’s amazing that we finally have charity mounts again after 4 years (our last one was 2014!).
The last charity-oriented effort I did was last year when Hurricane Harvey hit Texas. For those of you who are unaware, I ran an Untold Spiral t-shirt campaign that donated ALL profits to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. I’ve wanted to do something similar for a while now, but wanted to wait for the right time. Given that the holidays have now come around, there’s a big announcement coming tomorrow morning (watch out), and I’ve finally finished my fall semester … I think now is the perfect time.
Ever since KingsIsle showed off my Untold Spiral shirt in the 10th Anniversary video on Tuesday, I’ve gotten some questions about whether they are still available. Well, now they are! I’m opening up the Untold Spiral t-shirt campaign once again, and this time with a new charity! Oh, and there’s also a hoodie!
100% of my shirt/hoodie proceeds this year will go to the AbleGamers Charity. This organization aims to improve the “quality of life for people with disabilities through the power of video games.” Using new innovative technology, AbleGamers Charity has been able to customize amazing unique setups for people who need them. Given the charity’s connection and dedication to gamers and children (both things the KI community cares about and relates to), I thought this would be the perfect choice.
